BGService is a B2B IT services and business software company established in 2002. Its main mission is to help businesses navigate through the complex IT world of acronyms, trends, threats and legal requirements, and choose the right tools for them. BGService operates in two different areas:
- the company can augment or replace the IT department of a business from a pair of remote hands to CIO function to lead the company IT management function.
- for 18 years our second branch develops business software solution – nZoom. nZoom can automate business processes in more than 15 industries increasing productivity and optimizing costs.
If we meet your business as a person on the street, how would it introduce itself to us?
Our business as a person will be a timid 23-year-old, who won’t talk unless is spoken to. When asked, however, the introduction will be “Hi, I help businesses find new efficiency and become more profitable through using IT the right way.”
Tell us about a moment when you had to close one door to open another. What made you take that step?
As a young company we did everything we can get our hands on – from cabling to web sites. Deciding to focus solely on IT services and business software opened the door to partnerships with our colleagues with whom we complement our services. And ultimately, we found our way to more customers than before.
Tell us about a moment when someone gave you a helping hand without expecting anything in return, and it changed something significant for you. What was it, and why do you remember it?
A client of ours introduced us to one of the soon to become first enterprise customers in the insurance sector. Up till then we thought that this type of customers is out of reach and beyond our level. Our successful project (they are still our customers) helped us look up and believe we can provide an excellent service or product to demanding and large customers.
Tell us about a moment when you stopped, looked around, and said to yourself: ‘Yes, this is exactly why I started!’ When was it, and what did you feel?
Our business is about trust. When someone decides to work with us – either as IT service delivery and support or business software project I feel the given trust as a responsibility. And when the wheels of a software project start turning and the customer says “Wow, our busiest people now have the time to pursue new tasks” or we receive a letter of Gratitude I feel both relieved and elated. Relieved because we didn’t betray the trust and elated because we have made daily work life easier for dozens or hundreds of people.
If someone were to create a comedy series about your business one day, which scene must absolutely be in the first episode?
The pilot should feature the scene when our first hire (and a few weeks later – first fire) was using an office chair to drive from one room to another to the utter dismay of the people working there. Little did we know back then about what we should be looking for in an employee…
